Quick start
The fastest beginner loop in Ride A Pet is:
- Mount your current pet.
- Buy an Advanced Radar from the gear shop.
- Activate it and follow the direction and distance marker to an egg.
- Carry the egg back to your ranch before its break timer ends.
- Put it in an empty nest, dismount if prompted, and hatch.
- Place useful pets on your ranch, collect their cash, and upgrade Hatch Luck or your radar.
The developer’s Roblox description confirms the broad egg-to-faster-pet loop. The controls, shop labels, and sequence above are shown independently in an All Things How walkthrough and the ItzVexo video published September 15.
Step 1: ride before you search
Mount even a starter pet. Player guides show the on-screen prompt “Ride Pet To Go Faster,” and riding shortens both halves of the trip: getting to the egg and returning before it breaks.
Follow the green shop markers toward the central stalls. Look for the labels Gears, Track, Sell, and Food rather than trying to memorize a route from one camera angle.
Step 2: buy and use a radar
The current walkthrough reports the Advanced Radar as the affordable first choice at Rick’s Shop and shows it at $50. Shop prices and stock can change, so confirm the live amount before buying.
Activate the radar after purchase. It selects an egg target and shows distance feedback. A target hundreds of metres away is normal; follow the live direction rather than wandering between biomes.
If the shop does not show it: wait for the gear restock notice or use the cheapest current radar that explicitly tracks eggs. Do not spend premium currency based only on an old price.
Step 3: pick up the egg and turn home
Interact with the egg when you reach it. A break countdown begins once you carry it, so stop exploring and return to your ranch. The egg basket has a limit; if the UI says it is full, unload before starting another run.
Use landmarks on the outbound route so you can reverse it quickly. For Blackhole and Cherub spawns, the egg locations guide covers the six reported search zones.
Step 4: place the egg in a nest
Your ranch is labelled with your username. Carry the egg to an empty nest and use the “Place Egg In Nest” prompt shown in the current walkthrough. Dismount if the game asks; the mount can block the hatch interaction.
The hatch result card is the completion signal. If the egg vanishes without a result, capture the exact warning or timer state before retrying—a missed timer and a full nest need different fixes.
Step 5: place pets and collect cash
Put useful pets on ranch slots. The walkthrough shows individual placement and a Place Best option. Touch or interact with placed pets to collect the cash they have generated.
Spend early cash on the loop that improves future runs:
- Hatch Luck before opening a batch of eggs.
- A better radar when it meaningfully improves the egg tier or search.
- Food when levelling a pet gives a better return than replacing it.
The source reports Grass at $10 and shows pet XP, but live shop values should be checked after updates.
Step 6: compare pets by the job
Use the pet card instead of appearance alone:
- Speed for long searches and timed returns.
- Jump for cliffs, branches, and elevated eggs.
- Income for ranch cash.
- Mutation as a modifier that can change the useful order.

Early mistakes to avoid
- Running on foot: even the starter mount saves time.
- Continuing to explore while carrying: the egg timer makes the return the priority.
- Ignoring basket capacity: a full basket blocks another pickup.
- Judging only by rarity: jump, speed, income, and mutations serve different goals.
- Rebirthing without reading the reset panel: requirements and losses can change.
- Using fake codes: no current redemption menu or active code has been verified by this site’s evidence review.
Your first efficient upgrade cycle
Complete one radar-to-hatch run, place the useful result, collect its income, and buy the next upgrade only when the current UI shows the benefit. Repeat short, successful trips instead of stretching for a rare egg you cannot return in time.
